B1A4’s CNU picked f(x)’s Krystal as his ideal type and confessed that he liked her.
On the January 14th episode of cable TV, MBC every1’s ‘Weekly Idols-This Week’s Idols’, B1A4 appeared as a new year special. Along with revealing his ideal type, he revealed that he was normally a fan of f(x)’s Krystal and left a video message for her as well.
Although he gathered up courage and confessed, “I hope we can eat a meal together one time. I was a big fan. I love you”, the members started getting flustered due to his bold confession.
After gaining courage from CNU’s confession, the other members showed rookie-like fresh hearts by mentioning SNSD’s Yoona, Taeyeon and Miss A’s Suzy.
Besides this, the members showed their hidden talents in the ‘Idol Individual Parts’ Terminators’ corner for the part that matched with each of the members, receiving high praise from Jung Hyungdon.

Pony Canyon Korea who is the recording label company of B1A4’s albums revealed on January 10th “Even though B1A4 is currently on their break without any active album promotions, their first mini album “Let’s Fly” and their second mini album “it B1A4” sales figures are still increasing steadily” also “We also faced some extraordinary incidents where the shops couldn’t sell more because they were out of stock”.
Also, they continued, “B1A4’s total album sales exceeds over 100,000 copies in Korea only” which showed the scary power of the group.
By the end of 2011, the Hanteo Chart (the representative music chart of South Korea) revealed the rankings of the top 50 best selling albums of 2011 where B1A4’s second mini album “it B1A4” was on #22, they were the only rookies who made in the top 50 among the rookies who made their debut last year.
This relevant ranking was calculated by compiling all the datas from 1st of January 2011 till the 31st of December 2011 by Hanteo Chart and it is more meaningful because B1A4 is a rookie group who made their debut in April 2011 but joined the other male idol groups like Super Junior, Big Bang, TVXQ and girl groups like Girls’ Generation and many other senior artists in the TOP 50

[TRANS][NEWS] BoM’s Sechang: “Lee Jihye sunbae likes B1A4”
BoM’s leader Maeng Sechang (20) shared a hilarious story on the recent episode Channel A’s Art School regarding singer Lee Ji Hae’s love for fellow rookie group B1A4.
He stated “There is something that made me disappointed from Lee Jihae sunbaenim (senior)”.
Apparently, both groups were on the same music show as Lee Ji Hae, and with BoM seeing her first they greeted her, and in return she gave them eye smile making Sechang comment “ah, she’s a really good sunbae.”
But when it was B1A4’s turn to greet, she excitedly greeted back and told them “I really like you guys!”, causing laughter from the audience.

B1A4는 OBS와 아리랑TV가 공동 제작하는 음악 프로그램 ‘웨이브 K’ 신년특집 ‘슈퍼루키 2012’가 집계한 해외 네티즌 27만여명이 참여한 인기 투표에서 당당히 1위를 차지했다.
‘웨이브 K’는 코리아닷컴과 함께 지난 15일부터 26일까지 약 2주간 전세계 네티즌을 상대로 ‘2012년 가장 주목할 만한 신예 K팝 스타’를 선정하는 투표를 실시했다. B1A4 외에 레드애플, M.I.B., 마이네임, 라니아, 브레이브걸스, 씨리얼, 와인홀비너스 등 총 8개 팀이 후보에 올랐다.
코리아닷컴 영문사이트와 트위터, 페이스북 등 SNS를 통해 동시에 진행된 이 투표에는 총 114개국에서 26만 9970명이 투표에 참가했고 총 투표 인원 중 외국인이 23만 1523명으로, 전체 비율 중 85.8%를 차지했다.
B1A4는 총 8만 7488표(32.4%)를 획득해 8만 1602표(30.2%)를 얻은 아이돌 그룹 마이네임을 2%의 근소한 차이로 따돌리고 1위를 차지했다. 투표 중반부터 무서운 기세로 1위와의 격차를 줄여오던 아이돌 밴드 레드애플은 총 5만 2726표(19.5%)로 3위에 랭크됐다.
B1A4 리더 진영은 “우리를 지지해 주신 국내 팬은 물론 해외 팬들에게 감사를 드린다. 2012년에는 더 활발한 활동으로 팬 여러분에게 보답하겠다”고 기쁨을 표현했다.
OBS 공태희 PD는 “B1A4는 데뷔와 동시 국내는 물론 해외에서 광범위한 지지를 받고 있는 놀라운 신인이다. 2위를 차지한 마이네임 역시 특유의 파워풀한 군무와 가창력으로 2012년 이후가 더욱 기대되는 팀”이라며 2012년 K팝 동향을 전망했다.

‘Wave K’ with Korea.com started from 15th December until 26th December for 2 weeks conducted a poll to vote the most notable newcomer of K-Pop star against 2012 for netizens around of the world. In addition (the nominees were) B1A4, LED Apple, M.I.B., My Name, Rania, Brave Girls, C-REAL, Wind Hold Venus and others 8 teams were nominated.
Korea.com’s english site and twitter, facebook, at the same time the voting conducted by SNS with 269,970 total of people from 114 countries participated in the voting and total 231,523 foreign people (overseas), accounting for 85.8% from the full scale.
B1A4 got total of votes 87,488 votes (32.4%), and 81,602 votes (30.2%) with 2% gap with a pop group My name narrowly will beat topped. Followed with a quite far gap from an idol band named Red Apple with total of 52,726 votes (19.5%) was ranked as the third rank.
B1A4’s leader, Jinyoung stated “We are very grateful to all domestic and also overseas fans who have supported us this far. We will back and more active in 2012, fans” He was expressing the joyful.

On December 23rd, in a End-of-Year special recording of KBS 2TV “Music Bank”, B1A4 performed SechesKies’ 1998 ballad song, “Couple”.
That day, B1A4 had on white fur hats, thick-rimmed glasses, jackets with wings and much more showing their incredible fashion sense. They also performed “Couple” with a very adorable butt dance, making the performance much cuter than the original.
After this performance, along with Dal Shabet, A Pink, and Boyfriend, they peformed Roora’s “An Angel Without Wings” together and received a very hot response.

9일에 있을 일본 도쿄 쇼케이스 및 앨범 발매를 위해 7일 새벽 김포공항을 통해 출국한 B1A4.
데뷔 1년도 안된 신인임에도 이미 한국보다는 일본에서 더 뜨거운 반응을 보이고 있을 정도다.
이미 일본 굴지의 음반사 포니캐년으로 입성하는데 성공했을 뿐 아니라 폭발적인 팬층을 만들어내고 있다.
B1A4의 인기는 하네다 공항에 도착하자마자 거듭 사실로 확인되었는데.
극비리에 일본에 도착한 것인데도 이미 공항에는 B1A4의 현지 일본팬들이 많이 몰려 들어와 폭발적인 환영식을 준비하고 있었다. 결국 B1A4는 공항 정문 대신 후문을 통해 일본 땅을 밟아야 했다고 포니캐년 관계자는 전했다.
B1A4는 일본에서 꽉 짜인 일정을 마치고 다음주 월요일에 귀국할 예정이다.

B1A4 is currently promoting with their catchy follow up song “My Love” after a successful promotion with “Beautiful Target”. “My Love” has a catchy rhythm and the lyrics get stuck to you even after the first time hearing the song.
Not only is B1A4 gaining massive popularity in Korea, but in Japan as well. With a showcase coming up on December 9th, the ticket sales were massive, even causing the ticket holder’s site’s server to crash. 26일 오후 6시 30분 방송된 SBS TV ‘놀라운 대회 스타킹’에서는 포복절도 개그 브라더스가 출연해 신기한 판토마임 무대를 펼쳤다.
일본인 케보와 영국인 크리스로 구성된 ‘퍼니 본즈’는 뼛속까지 웃음을 드리겠다는 각오로 팀명을 정했다고 밝혔다. 언어가 다른 두 사람은 말이 통하지 않아 몸짓 발짓을 하다보니 판토마임 실력이 늘었다고 덧붙였다.
2001년 결성된 퍼니본즈는 2002년 일본 오다이바 콜레트타운쇼 우승을 차지하고, 2011년엔 크라이스트처치 월드버스커즈 페스티벌에서 우승을 차지한 실력으로 추억속 개그를 포함한 다양한 퍼포먼스를 펼쳐 웃음을 자아냈다.
한편, 이날 방송에서 B1A4의 바로는 센스 있는 반전 판토마임을 펼쳐 베스트 판토마임상에 꼽혔고, 개그맨 안영미가 영국인 크리스와 깜짝 뽀뽀를 해 눈길을 끌었다.

26일 오후 11시 방송된 MBC TV ‘세상을 바꾸는 퀴즈-세바퀴’에서는 김부선, 장광 전성효 부부, 김원효 심진화 부부, 변우민, B1A4 산들 바로 등이 출연해 입담을 과시했다.
이날 방송에서 B1A4는 앞서 ‘세바퀴’에서 선보인 새싹춤이 검색어 1위에 오르는 등 해외에서도 화제가 되었다면서 기뻐했다. 이어 새싹춤 2탄을 준비했다고 말했다.
산들은 “처음엔 이제 막 자라나 예쁘게 봐달란 새싹이었는데 이젠 좀 자라서 질풍노도의 시기를 겪고 있는 까칠한 새싹이다”고 설명을 덧붙였다.

‘Most Amasing’의 약자인 MO.A는 2010년부터 시작된 MULA(Mnet Ultimate Live in Asia)를 새롭게 재탄생시킨 아시아 콘서트 브랜드로 K-POP의 지속적인 확산과 안정적인 상생을 도모하기 위한 취지의 공연이다.
처음으로 MO.A가 출격하는 지역은 대만 제2의 도시 카오슝. 슈퍼주니어, f(x), 미스에이, 2AM이 출연하는 ‘M-Live by CJ MO.A 2011 in 카오슝’은 이미 지난 10월 티켓 매진을 기록했다.
대만에 이어 말레이시아 쿠알라룸프르에서 개최되는 MO.A에는 기존의 4팀 외에도 B1A4가 합류한다.
CJ E&M 콘서트사업부는 “말레이시아 공연에 대한 기대가 특히 크다. 지난해 원더걸스와 2PM의 공연을 진행하면서 많은 아티스트들이 진출할 수 있겠다는 가능성을 확인한 곳”이라고 기대감을 표했다.
이번 공연은 대부분의 한류콘서트와는 달리 한 팀당 최대 40분 정도의 미니콘서트 수준의 공연이 마련된다. MO.A 제작진은 “질 높은 무대로 K-POP에 대한 신뢰와 기대를 지속시키는데 주력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Although it hasn’t been too long since their Korean debut, rookie group B1A4 has just announced that they’ll be extending their act into Japan with an official overseas debut!
“B1A4 has struck a deal with Japan’s Pony Canyon,” revealed an industry representative. Pony Canyon is a company under Japanese media giant Fujisankei Communications Group, and is also the current management for Hallyu star Jang Geun Suk. “We’re very proud that they are going into Japan so shortly after their debut.”
A representative from Pony Canyon stated, “We were struck by their debut album, which featured high-quality music, smooth choreography, and instinctive fashion.” They continued, “Although they are rookies, we struck a deal based on their future potential as the best Hallyu stars. Jang Geun Suk was also complimented B1A4 on their future potential.”
B1A4 is scheduled to kick-start their Japanese activities with their first showcase, to be held on December 9th at the Sinagawa Stellar Ball in the heart of Tokyo. They will release their Japanese album in January of 2012.

Handsome, cute, with a little bit of naughtiness. Even the skies do not dare to rain on the boys of B1A4. They have just flown in straight from Korea, to attend the press conference as well as introduce themselves as the new presenters in the commercial of ‘B1A4 Big Cola’. And SPICY had the chance to interview all 5 boys. Now, for all the young, old, fake, or real girls out there, you can read the interview.
Q: First off, we’d like all the 5 boys to introduce themselves to the Thai fans.
B1A4: Hello, we’re B1A4!
Shinwoo: Hello, I’m Shinwoo (smiles)
Baro: Hello, I’m Baro. (laughs)
Jinyoung: Hello, I’m leader Jinyoung. (smiles)
Sandeul: Hello, I’m Sandeul.
Gongchan: Hello, I’m the maknae Gongchan. (smiles)
Q: Many people have been wondering where does the name ‘B1A4’ originate from.
Jinyoung: The name of the band comes from our blood types - because there are 4 people with blood type A, and 1 person with blood type B, Baro. This is why we’re called ‘B1A4’.
Q: Since Baro is the only member with blood type B, do you feel lonely?
Baro: No, never. Because I’m always usually with the members, so no matter what, I’ll never feel lonely. (smiles)
Q: This is the first time B1A4 has come to Thailand right? What was your first impression of Thailand?
Jinyoung: Yes. (laughs)
Shinwoo: Last night when we arrived in Thailand, our flight was a very late flight. And when we arrived in Thailand it was already really late, but then there were still fans in the airport waiting to welcome us. And the thing is, we’ve only debuted for around 3 months, but there is already this many fans welcoming us at the airport. We were very touched, and this is a really good experience.
Q: Is there anywhere in particular in Thailand that you would like to visit?
?: I want to go to the floating market as well as the night market very much. I’ve seen it on the Korean cable TV many times and I really want to go. And there’s a wishing well. Thailand has many interesting things, like eating or just culture in general. If there is a chance, we’d really like to visit those places.
Q: You guys had the chance to stay overnight at a very prestigious hotel, how do you guys feel?
Sandeul: When we got back to the hotel it was already late, so we didn’t have a chance to tour the hotel much. But because we slept with the curtains open, during the morning, the sunlight streaked into our room and the view was amazing. And the pool at the hotel is very beautiful, if there’s a chance we would like to go swim.
Q: What type of style do you look for in a girl?
Shinwoo: I like a girl who can become friends with my mother, and who can take care of me and our family. (smiles)
Baro: I like a girl who can communicate well with me and would understand me at all times.
Jinyoung: I like a girl who understands me, and her heart must only belong to me (laughs)
Sandeul: I like girls with high motivation, like when she’s working she’ll put all her effort into working. I like good role models.
Gongchan: Just a girl who will understand me, and we can understand each other is enough (smiles)
Q: Is there anything you’d like to say to the Thai fans?
Jinyoung: I’d like to thank the fans because even though its our first time to Thailand, they’ve already supported us through so much. And whenever we look at the fans, we’d see fanboards with lights and our names on it coming to cheer on us. And if we had a chance to come back to Thailand again, we will come back, this is for sure. On September 5th, the teaser image for leader Jinyoung was released through their official homepage along with a list of exciting dates.
The digital release for their second mini-album is set for September 16th, but until then, fans can enjoy the image teasers of Baro, CNU, Sandeul, and Gongchan on the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th respectively.

[NEWS] 10,000 fans cheer on their idols at the 3rd ‘Idol Star Athletics Championships’
On August 27th, MBC’s third ‘Idol Star Athletics Championships‘ kicked off at the Jamshil Stadium amidst the roar of 10,000 fans.
Hundreds of idols gathered to compete against one another in numerous athletic activities. The program was led by anchorman Oh Sang Jin, Kim Je Dong, Yoon Yeo Choon, and Boom. The opening event began withMighty Mouth’s Shorry, who parodied the ‘hoop boy’ from the ‘88 Seoul Olympics; this was then followed by Boom Academy’s parody of Stevie Wonder.
The male 100m preliminary race was the first athletics event of the day. 10,000 fans roared in support of Super Junior, INFINITE, Dalmatian, B1A4, ZE:A, Mighty Mouth, MBLAQ, SHINee, TEEN TOP, Hwanhee, gagmanKim Kyung Jin, David Oh, Baek Chung Gang and many others.
The event reported a few injuries here and there, but nothing that the boys couldn’t handle.

새싹춤은 바로가 웅크리고 있는 산들에게 물을 주는 퍼포먼스로 시작됐다. 산들은 바로의 물을 듬뿍 맞고 몸을 꿈틀거리며 싹을 틔우는 씨앗을 몸으로 표현해냈다.

일본 가요계를 휩쓸고 있는 걸 그룹 ‘AKB48 팀B’의 멤버 미야자키 미호는 지난 5일 자신의 트위터에 “B1A4라는 한국 그룹의 CD를 받았습니다. 들어 보세요. 뭔가 힘이 날 수 있는 곡입니다”라는 글과 비원에이포의 사인 CD의 사진을 게재했다.
평소에도 한국에 대한 관심 많은 것으로 알려진 ‘미야자키 미호’는 지난 달 비원에이포의 인터뷰 차 국내에 들어 왔던 일본 스태프를 통해 비원에이포의 사인 CD를 전달받았다.
이에 비원에이포 소속사측은 “일본 최고의 걸 그룹이 관심 가져주고 있다는 사실에 멤버들 모두 놀랍고 신기하다는 반응을 보이고 있다. 항상 관심 가져 주시는 해외 팬들에게 감사 드리며 앞으로도 발전하고 성장하는 모습 보여드리는 그룹이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 전했다.
한편, 비원에이포의 멤버 바로와 산들은 오는 9일 저녁 11시에 방송되는 MBC ‘세바퀴’에 출연해 예능감을 뽐낼 예정이다.

It is well known that Miyazaki Miho has interest in Korea. She also gave B1A4’s CD to Japanese staff who came to Korea for an interview of B1A4 to get signs on it.
B1A4’s agency said “To get an interest from the best Japanese girl group it surprised and amused the members. They always feel thankful to international fans who’s interested in them and they’re trying their best to show their developed and grown up looks in the future.”
On the other hand, B1A4’s members Sandeul and Baro will be appearing on MBC ‘Quiz to Change the World’ that will air on July 9th at 11pm.

Also, B1A4 who is currently holding fansigns at various regions in Seoul receive very warm welcomes at their respective hometowns, which they say gives them strength during their tiring schedules.
B1A4’s company representatives said that “at their young age, the members who share the same dream of being singers, have left their parents’ sides to live in the dormitory. 지난 3일 MBC 라디오‘박경림의 별이 빛나는 밤에 - 7분 초대석’ 이후 두 번째로 라디오를 통해 라이브 실력을 뽐낸 것.
특히 산들은 그 동안 무대에서 보여줬던 이미지와는 달리 분위기 있는 발라드 곡인 박효신의 곡을 선택해 더욱 눈길을 끌었다. 산들은 최근 뉴스엔과 인터뷰에서 “많은 가요제, 오디션에 지원하면서 어릴 적부터 가수의 꿈을 키웠다”고 밝히기도 했다.

It’s been a month since rookie boy group B1A4 debuted with their single album, “Let’s Fly“. Since then, they’ve been busily promoting their title track, “OK“, and holding fan signings with big turn outs.
The group’s rapper, Baro, stated, “It’s been about a month since our debut and there are already fans who recognize us. More people came to our fan signing than we expected, so we were all surprised. We promise to work hard so that we can show the public more of who we are.”
Leader Jinyoung added, “Thanks to our unique group name, fans have given us unique nicknames like ‘paper idols’ and ‘blood idols.’ Apparently, ‘paper idols’ comes from the fact that our name reminds them of A4 papers, and ‘blood idols’ comes from our blood types. We’re satisfied with the nicknames and glad that people are taking an interest in us.”
CNU continued, “Each of us has a different charm. Baro is good at voice imitations and beatboxing, while Sandeul and Jinyoung are good at cooking. Gongchan may seem cool, but he has a lot of aegyo. Baro and I have taken an interest in writing and composing lately, so we’re practicing very hard.”

The photo which had Gongchan and Hyunwoo received comments from netizens like “I can’t even tell who is Gongchan and who is Hyunwoo.”,”They really look like each other’s doppelganger!”,”Sometimes when I watch music bank, there are times when I wanted Gongchan to be the MC.”
